BCLUW board approves librarian-sharing plan with GC

After discussing the matter last month, the BCLUW board of education voted unanimously during a special meeting on Wednesday morning to share its librarian position with Grundy Center.

The move is seen as a smart fit because BCLUW’s current librarian Mary Ascher lives between Conrad and Grundy Center, her husband Brent is a Grundy Center school board member and her children attend school there. She told the board at the previous meeting that if she had to be shared with any district, she would prefer Grundy Center.
