Christmas comes to Wellsburg

Christmas cheer will be in the air this weekend as Wellsburg celebrates the season with a variety of fun, free holiday events and activities including the Hometown Holiday Treefest, a visit from Santa, business open houses and more.

To kick things off, the Wellsburg Public Library is hosting their first annual mini-tree decorating contest, where mini Christmas trees decorated by community members will be on display at the library throughout the week. Visitors are invited to come to the library and admire the beautifully decorated trees. Visitors can vote for their favorite tree, and the first, second and third place decorators will receive a prize.

While at the library, visitors are encouraged to pick up a coloring sheet for the library’s adult and children Christmas Coloring Contest. Be sure to turn in your sheet by December 17; winners of the coloring contest will also receive a prize.
