Fast start for area boys at NICL Indoor

WAVERLY – Dike-New Hartford and BCLUW led the area boys track contingent with three event victories each at Thursday's NICL Indoor at Wartburg College in Waverly.

 

The Wolverines got victories from Tyler Miller in the 55-meter dash in a time of 6.82 seconds, Parker Kiewiet's top long jump of 20 feet, 5.25 inches and the 4x200 relay team of Miller, Cade Bennett, Brady Huff and Cade Fuller running 1:40.47.

 

BCLUW's winners on Thursday were Troy Dolphin in the 200 in 23.82, Jack Garber's 55-meter hurdles win in 7.76 and capping the night with a win in the 4x400, with the team of Logan Mann, Garber, Connor Thompson and Dolphin running 3:39.03 for the victory.

 

AGWSR also had a couple of champions on Thursday night – Alec Stahl won the 800 in 2:06.34 and Dalton June won a tiebreaker with Dike-New Hartford's Dane Fuller and Grundy Center's Sawyer Bowen for the field event title after clearing 5-10.
